If your webpages are not refreshing, or you just can’t get on a website that you know should be working, then try flushing your DNS cache on your computer.
To do this, find your “Command Prompt” program under your “Accessories” folder from your Windows menu options. If you are running Windows Vista, you should right click on the “Command Prompt” and “Run as Administrator”, otherwise you won’t be able to flush the DNS cache out properly.
Once the black screen is open in the Command Prompt, simply type in ipconfig /flushdns and hit enter. You will get a confirmation that it flushed successfully if you did it right. If you don’t see this confirmation, then double check your typing and make sure it is typed in exactly as written above. If you still can’t get it to work, then you need to double check that you have administrator rights as instructed above.
